Arrival

When you pull in to the golf club the bag drop is on the right and the parking lot on the left. You can leave your clubs at the bag drop. Just tell the attendant that you are there for the school with Kirk. You can also see the range from the bag drop as where we will be practicing is only about 50 yards from there. I will also be looking for you on the first day to help.

More info

There is a bar and grill available right there at the club with water, soft drinks and a typical menu of burgers, sandwiches, soup, etc. We will take a lunch break each day around 12:30. There is also a cooler with ice, and water where you can fill up with free water.

Sunscreen is also recommended as well as hats as the sun can be quite strong any time of year.

If you only wanted to bring a few clubs then that is also okay. In that case I would recommend Putter, SW, 9iron, 7iron, Rescue, FW wood, Driver, and any other clubs you would like to use.

Schedule

On the first day it is a good idea to get there about a half hour earlier to loosen up a bit. In most schools I will be taking some Flightscope X3  measurements with video on three 7 iron shots. This will enable me to more quickly help fit the method to each individual. The less guess work the better.

The normal schedule has the school beginning at 9 AM. Typically we practice until around 4 PM but this can vary for each group. Sometimes we are done by 3 PM, and other times it is 4:30. The last day of schools is normally done about an hour or more earlier. Schools, where we go on the golf course in the afternoon, may also finish later for obvious reasons. The Alumni school will likely finish between 5 PM and 6 PM each day as it includes 18 holes of golf each afternoon. Those needing to leave earlier for a flight on the last day can always leave earlier. Finishing times are approximate based on past schools. Schools with 5 people could go longer, with 4 or fewer people slightly shorter)

Unless I contact you before the school I plan on starting at 9 AM each day. It is helpful for most people before the school to review the grip, setup, impact and drills videos. These are located under the member’s menu on this website.  It is not a must to know the drills though as some people prefer to make sure they do everything perfect from the beginning. It will work fine either way. There is a lot of free info in my Youtube videos as well.

The main instruction for the normal 3-day schools are finished by lunch time on the last day. After lunch we spend a lot of time reviewing, and working on drills. Some people choose to leave to catch a flight so that they can get home on Sunday night and work on Monday. This is fine, just let me know the day before.

This will not be a golf ball beating experience. It is about learning step by step how to setup and move properly. So we will be doing a lot of drills with slower swings and some without even hitting golf balls. Once you feel comfortable with each drill we are working on you should take a break and sit down and make some notes if you like, or just relax. We will also cover Putting, Chipping, Pitching, and Bunker shots during the school, as well as all clubs you need in a round of golf like the Driver, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, and wedges.

You can also write down some questions you may have about the method before you get to the school so as to make sure that all are answered.

My main goal with the schools is to make sure that you know what you need to do going forward to improve your golf game. How to do the drills properly, how to practice, and also how to submit videos to me after the school.

Please let me know anytime you have a question during the school. It is important to me that every question is answered so that you have no doubt as to what you need to do moving forward after the school. If you find yourself getting frustrated during the school then let me know, or take a break and sit down for a few minutes.

If possible please have the V1 golf app (not V1 pro) on your phone, or tablet. It is free on Apple, and Android devices. If you do not have either it is okay. I will be showing step by step how to use this very valuable technology.

In early-January, 2020, I had the privilege of attending Kirk Junge's 3-Day Golf School in West Palm Beach, Florida. Over the past fifty years, I have taken lessons from some of the game's most acclaimed instructors throughout the country, but I can say, without reservation, that the three days I spent working with Kirk Junge stand out as the best golf learning experience of my life. Kirk has a unique way of communicating his wonderful method of play. He simplifies the learning process to the point where anyone can improve their game. After my 3-day experience, I reached a point where I could "feel" the rhythm in my swing. For years, I had struggled with an early release of the club head. By positioning my hands differently on the club and working to swing on a single plane, I now feel the proper sequence and have taken it to the course with confidence. Thanks, Kirk! Your schools are the "best value" going when it comes to golf instruction! Dale P.

Hi Kirk,
I just wanted to thank you again for a fabulous 3 day single plane swing school. I have taken hundreds of hours of lessons in my 71 years and I think these 3 days surpassed any instruction that I have ever received. As we discussed , I have been struggling to find a swing that will give me consistent ball contact to enjoy this game and not adversely affect my aging body. Well, if my progress after practicing your drills and completing this school is any indication, I am sold on this technique.
The other aspects of the school which were so important to me, was how to practice, how to go from practice to swinging without technical thoughts and the ability to send in videos for  your analysis.
Bottom line, after 3 days I walked away with no question unanswered about swing theory, equipment, training aids, practice and mental aspects of golf. I’m looking forward to reviewing my progress with some videos and a lesson after some practice and the real test on the course.
Enjoy your holiday in Germany. Looking forward to talking soon!
Kind Regards,
Paul S.

Hello Kirk,

I switched to the single plane swing 12 months ago, attended your school 10 months ago, broke 80 for the first time with the new swing 8 months ago, shot 75  3 months ago, and today broke par for the first time since my 30’s with a -2 69! Needless to say, I’m very satisfied with the results of the last year, as shooting par or better was a major goal for me when I signed up for your instruction. I knew I couldn’t get there in my 50’s and 60’s with my traditional swing, but now I feel like there are a lot of good rounds ahead.

Best Regards,

J. H.
